in shamim-land there is no money. it is obvious that little pieces of coloured paper, or should i say data in computers, is of little intrinsic worth. but through coupling its presence with the gain of things we very much want or need, it becomes a very powerful associated reward. the question then becomes, how valuable is the thing that i want to buy? i wish to buy a toy for my child so he smiles, and his smile is priceless to me. he, however, would much rather i simply played with him; attention is what he seeks. he bores of the toys he has and prefers the toys of others. in never-neverland where children reside perhaps we would be better off borrowing the toys of others and sharing our own than buying them, and money/toys can never substitute for love.
to conclude, money is not the root of anything, just kinda irrelevant.
