religion - cause or cure of conflict?

personally i think religion is obsolete but necessary in some places

Is only what you as a person believe in or not believe in.
Darwin's theory makes since, so does the Bible.

I've read somewhere that mono-thiestic religion has caused the majority of the world's wars over history. So perhaps it is not so much religion as a whole that is good/bad/etc, but better to look at the intentions of each? It seems the ones that only accept "one god" as the supreme being, aren't very accepting of anyone that doesn't agree with them
