Filmmaker Krishna Shah will direct the film, which will be released in two parts.



The first part will come up at the end of 2011 and part two about seven or eight months later.

Shah mentioned that the film would be multilingual.

“It will be in Hinglish,” Variety quoted him as saying.

He added: “It’s such an exciting, dramatic story. The canvas of her life is too big to be contained in one film.”

The filming is set to kick start in India in April next year.

Some parts of the film will also be shot in the U.S., U.K. and Russia.

Shah has apparently been writing the script for 23 years.

"This is a role of a lifetime. Very few actors get such an experience and opportunity... especially a son to play father to his own 'Paa'. We are only and perhaps the first actor father-son duo to have played themselves in a role reversal," Abhishek said.He said that 'Paa', where Big B plays a 13-year-old boy suffering from progeria, a rare genetic disorder which accelerates ageing, is a simple, light hearted and happy film.

"'Paa' is not a film about progeria. It is a happy film about a father and his son and the sweet moments that they share," Abhishek said."The genetic disorder is just the unique backdrop of the film... just like 'Mili' where my mother (Jaya Bachchan) is suffering from a disease but the film was not about the illness," he said.

"There is a family in Kolkata where three children of a family suffer from progeria syndrome. But Balki did not want us to meet them and discuss their condition because it would have been very insensitive and intrusive," the Junior Bachchan said.

Abhishek plays Amol Arte, a young politician and MP from Lucknow in the film. "I have modelled my look after Sachin Pilot and Milind Deora. "I am very happy because it had also won the critics award at the Stuttgart Film Festival in Germany," he said.

Suniel, who excels in action flicks and comedies as well, says he has always been keen to do serious cinema.

He won the Filmfare Award for the best villain for the triangular love story that also starred Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty.

Asked if the Indian film industry has failed to recognise his talent, he said: "I have no complaints about the Indian film industry because if it had not recognised my talent, it would have been impossible for me to sustain for so long."

Suniel's next is "De Dana Dan", which is set to release Nov 27. Directed by Priyadarshan, the comedy also stars Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal, Neha Dhupia and Sameera Reddy.

Talking about the film, he said: "It's an out-and-out comedy. IMC marriage registrar Dr Natwar Sarda said that marriage certificate is totally fake and was not issued by the municipal body. He described it as an act by some mischievous persons. He added that somebody must have scanned the IMC marriage certificate and showed Ramesh and Katrina as husband and wife with the help of some software. IMC is planning to lodge a complaint to the police to find out the culprit.

The 67-year-old actor Bachchan would be playing the role of a 13-year old boy, diagnosed with Progeria. His real life son Abhishek is playing his father's character in the movie.



"In childhood he used to make me sit on his shoulders. I always have a lot of fond memories of looking down upon everybody because I used to be sitting on my dad's shoulder as kid, and it was wonderful to repay the favour," Abhishek told reporters.

Amitabh Bachchan's fans would also have doubts in recognising him after seeing his bald look wearing school uniform in the poster and promo of the movie that was unveiled.

"Balki (Director) when he set the look of the film, felt very strongly that whatever performance Paa comes out with, it should be something we have never seen Amitabh Bachchan do before. And like he said that before, that he has worked very hard to remove Amitabh Bachchan from Amitabh Bachchan. So he thought it was very apt to say 'introducing Amitabh Bachchan' because here's a whole new Amitabh Bachchan, nor does he look differently, he will behave differently and act differently and speak differently," said Abhishek

R. Balki, Director of the movie, said the difference in the real and reel life characters would make the movie dissimilar and appealing.

Bachchan plays a boy named Auro who actually looks 25 odd years older than him due to the genetic disease. The film has already gained palpable excitement among the audience due to real life role reversal. The film, directed by Karan Johar, will see the return of the successful pair of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajor on the big screen after a gap of eight years.

The actors, who worked together in blockbuster hits like "Bazigar", "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge" and "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", were last seen in Johar's "Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham" in 2001.
