Would you not want to look like a princess on your wedding day? After all, it is your wedding and it comes once in a lifetime! Among all the people, the entire attention will be on you and you will be stealing all the limelight. It therefore indicates that no matter what, you cannot afford to look like a Plain Jane on your wedding. At the same time, too much make-up can make you look garish and the hot topic being discussed in your marriage could be your over-the-top look. However, there is a way to strike a balance between the two by choosing for natural make-up for your wedding. Read on useful information regarding the know-how of natural make-up for a marriage.

Eyes
Avoid any harsh lines or too much eye liner and Kajal. Your eyes can be lined according to the color of dress you will be wearing. Opt for black, grey or even brown and make sure to smoothen it out. The eye shadow is best used according to your dress and your skin tone. Warm tones like copper, chestnut brown, peaches, pink browns, etc. work the best. Avoid greens, blues or garish pinks and violets. Use generous doses of mascara to add volume to your eyes.

Lips
Exfoliate with a soft toothbrush and Vaseline. Avoid applying foundation on the lips as they get damaged. Use some moisturizer on and around the lips and then apply a warm tone of lipstick, mostly in browns, red browns or light pinks. For the pout, dab a hint of lip gloss on the center of your lips and press them together so that it spreads. Never apply the lip gloss all over the lips and don’t line your lips with a harsh lip pencil. It will look as though someone drew it on your face.

Chekes
More than your cheeks, it is the cheek bone that needs to be accentuated. Instead of shimmery blush, go for a matt look. These days, you even get liquid blush that can be applied in an upward motion starting from the apple of the cheeks to the high end of the cheek bone. It is then blended softly with finger tips. Avoid bright pinks or dark browns and stick with pale bronze or copper for a dusky complexion and pale pinks for fairer complexions.

Tips:

* Wash your face thoroughly using a mild soap or a face-wash. If your skin is flaky or threatens to break-out, use a good scrub like apricot scrub to remove any blackheads or whiteheads.
* Apply water based moisturizer and let it set in for 15-20 minutes before you start applying make-up. Apply little foundation, enough to even out the skin tone or hide blemishes and if you have dark circles, use a hint of concealer to blend it with the skin tone.
* Have a trial make-up session done two weeks before your wedding. Take a digital camera and shoot pictures of yourself to get a fair idea as to how you would look on that day.
* Get a good night’s sleep before your wedding, even though you may be under a lot of stress. You cannot afford to look dull or washed out on your wedding.
* Get your eye-brows plucked and hair waxed at least 4-5 days prior to the wedding. If you have an allergic reaction, you would have the time to cool it down.

How to Choose Hair Conditioner

The phrase hair conditioner seems a bit broad. The main objective of people who prefer to use hair conditioners is for them to make their hair more...

The phrase hair conditioner seems a bit broad. The main objective of people who prefer to use hair conditioners is for them to make their hair more vibrant and full of life. Maybe one's hair is thinning, too frizzy, too dry, or has been damaged. Regardless of the situation, hair conditioners should help to deal with it. Below, you can find a list of basic solutions assembled to deal with certain hair concerns.

Unlike shampoo that should be chosen depending on the scalp type, conditioners should be chosen depending on the hair type. This helps avoid greasiness, frizz or limp locks. Eventually, hair can become immune to a conditioning formulas effects, and that will actually cause build up, so no matter what conditioner you end up choosing, change the brand of conditioner you use every month.

How to choose the right conditioner:
1. Look for rich, moisturizing conditioner if hair tends to get extra dry or frizzy.
2. If the hair is limp or fine, use a volumizing conditioner.
3. Healthy and shiny hair needs only a conditioner made for normal hair.
4. Use leave-on conditioners at least once a week. Use it in the shower and rinse immediately if the hair is fine but for drier hair, leave it longer.
5. If there are no conditioners available anymore, or just to avoid chemicals for a change, natural conditioners like mayonnaise or olive oil can be used as a substitute.

If a person has baby-fine hair then too much conditioner will weigh it down. Test the hair at night to see what amount of conditioner works best. Fine hair can be nice and shiny, but too much conditioner makes it look oily, damp or weighted down. The amount of conditioner being used to baby fine hair also matters. Be sure to rinse the hair well. It seems that cooler rinse water works better as it does not leave the scalp feeling heavy or irritated and this has been proven from a lot of hair experts too. Baby shampoo works great to give fine hair extra shine due to its mild content. Flip the hair over while wet and barely blow-dry hair underneath. This will give hair extra bounce.

For people that are trying to have that fuller hair appearance, here are some great tips. The Cholesterol products that come in jars are all great sources to use for fuller hair, one such product is Le Kair. People that are searching for ways to fuller hair should look for products that read volume and fullness.

Nowadays, both women and men have processed hair. Adding moisture is key to finding the right conditioner for color treated, permed, & relaxed hair. Sadly, treated hair usually suffers from oily roots to dry scalp and shaft, and sometimes split ends. So washing processed hair can be a demanding business. The trick is to cleanse the roots while moisturizing the ends.

Here are shampoo tips for the following processed hair types:
- For color treated hair try to look for a rich and thick conditioner
- Many people apply conditioner to their scalp like shampoo. Don't forget the ends of your hair, where conditioner is needed most!
- Make sure to get away from conditioners that contain silicone, because this tends to strip color.
- For curly hair, use deep conditioners.

Select products that contain cetyl or stearyl alcohol, panthenol & methicones, silicone or dimethicone, or essential oils & botanicals such as avocado or jojoba oil. This will help in taming the hair and keep it looking gorgeous for a whole day.

Putting conditioner on thinning hair
will not be enough to stop a hair loss problem, but this will make hair appear as though it's thicker and fuller. One way to help replenish the hair's natural protein and mineral balance is by using the Tricomin restructuring conditioner. This in turn can build the shine, luster, and even bring back the body of thin hair. A leave-in conditioner can also help smooth and straighten hair.

    * Lemon Juice
* Apple Cider Vinegar
* Horseradish Root
* Cotton Swabs
* Anti-aging Cream
* Sunscreen

Instructions

* Exfoliate the spotted skin and the area around it, using an exfoliating scrub. Removal of dead cells from the brown skin will maximize the effect of spot treatment, by letting it work deep under the skin.
* Combine lemon juice, apple cedar vinegar, and horseradish root in equal parts, and store the mixture in a container. Using a cotton swab, apply this mixture to the spotted area. This solution will act as bleach on the brown spots and help them fade quickly.
* Apply a good quality, branded anti-aging cream on the spot. Gently massage the skin on the spot for deeper hydration. This will help fade brown spots, reduce wrinkles and shrink pores.
* The above process should be repeated until the brown spots fade away i.e. are completely done away with. You can also apply undiluted lemon juice on the spots before going to bed every night, for a quick treatment of the spots.
* Also take care to apply sunscreen before leaving for outdoors. This will help protect the skin against damage and brown spots.

Some More Effective Home Remedies

Honey
Honey works as a natural bleaching and moisturizing agent. Apply honey on the spotted area, leave it for 30 minutes and then rinse it off with cold water. For better results, mix 2-3 drops of lemon juice in honey. The application of honey will reduce the visibility of brown spots and also help you get rid of dark patches and pigmentation.

Extrapone Nutgrass
Extrapone Nutgrass is mild on the skin and can effectively fight melanin production. The best bet is to find it as a raw ingredient and then apply on the skin. In case you find that to be quite difficult, pick up a moisturizer that contains this ingredient.

Plant Combinations
Different plant combinations are also effective in removing brown spots from skin.
Make a paste of 100 grams each of dried basil leaves, neem leaves and mint. Grind the leaves before making the paste. Add some turmeric powder and rose water to this mixture. Apply the paste on your face, let it remain for 20-30 minutes and then wash off.

Saffron & Honey
A paste of saffron and honey also works very well on brown spots. Apply the paste on your face, let it remain for 20-30 minutes and then wash off.

Eye Makeup For Brown Eyes

* Choosing the right eye shadow is important for eye makeup. Dark brown eyes that are very close to black in color will look good in darker colors,...

* Choosing the right eye shadow is important for eye makeup. Dark brown eyes that are very close to black in color will look good in darker colors, contrasted with highlights. Color options are many for medium brown eyes and even a smudgy line of eyeliner makes such eyes look beautiful. Light brown eyes should not go for over dramatic makeup. Pale yellow color will look good on eyes in this shade.

* It is important to note the dark colors minimize the facial features, while light colors make the features appear larger. Muted and bright colors can be combined for brown eyes. For chocolate brown eyes, contrast can be created by black mascara and pink eye shadow.

* Different shades of eyeliner can be used on brown eyes. Colored eyeliners compliment brown eyes really well. Pencil eyeliners are favorable as they can be smudged, blended and gradated. However, both liquid and pencil eye liners can be used to create more depth and a longer-lasting look. Plum eyeliner and mauve eye shadow will look beautiful on dark brown eyes.

* Metallic colors can also be considered for brown eyes. For everyday use, gold, copper and shimmery pink may appear bold. Gold color brings out the warmth in brown eyes. If the eye color is hazel, shimmery bronze or green can impart an altogether different shade to the eye. A silvery charcoal eye pencil is apt for a more glamorous look.

* For a more classic makeup, colors similar to brown eyes are the best option. Earthy shades such as taupe, brown, and peach are to be used for a more subtle look. Day-time professional look is best achieved using these colors. Earthy shades are not too dramatic or bold for brown eyes and also look flattering.

* Smoky look for brown eyes also confirms to the fashion trends. Mostly, smoky look is achieved by using shades of grey, but navy or dark plum can be used on brown eyes, which will be able to pull these colors off. A thick layer of a dark eyeliner, which is smudged slightly, is used for imparting a smoky look to brown colored eyes

Try to guard any jewelry from scratches, sharp blows, harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures and sunlight.

Put your jewelry on after washing and applying any makeup or hair spray.

Avoid storing your jewellery next to a heating vent, window-sill or on a car dashboard. Store jewelry away from sunlight as the sun may fade the gemstones.

Don't let your jewellery come into contact with nail polish removers, perfume and hairspray

Clean your jewellery regularly, use a professional jewellery cleaning product (always read the manufacturers instructions)

When washing your hands (away from home) - don't place your rings on the wash basin - remove them and place them onto your necklace or place in a pouch in your handbag/purse

Gold or Silver plated items can vary considerably in quality. To be called Gold Plated, jewellery only needs to be coated in gold up to 1 micron. Better made products are usually coated upto 3 microns. Because precious metals are only coated onto base metal, the care instructions given above are even more relevant

If you have bead necklaces such as lapis or pearls, store them flat as silk stretches over time. Most jewelers will restring necklaces or reset stones for fee.

Want to look young, gorgeous and glowing? Well, prepare to get carded! Our 21 stay-young secrets will put time on your side. Goodbye wrinkles!

Begin With A Girlish Grin
1. Swear off foods that stain -- anything with a dark pigment, such as red wine, soy sauce or steak will make your teeth not so pearly white. Instead, chomp on apples, carrots and cucumbers; the cellulose in their skins and their slightly acidic compositions actually cleanse teeth.

2. Pick whitening toothpaste with fluoride to help prevent decay. Can't brush after a big meal? Chew sugarless gum with a whitener for 20 minutes. Recent studies suggest it reduces plaque by 20 percent.

3. Wear Crest White Strips for 30 minutes twice daily, and your teeth will be significantly whiter after two weeks. For a professional smile, ask your dentist about in-office bleaching treatments like Zoom. The hour-long procedures range from $500 to $1,000, but results last more than three years.

Baby Your Skin
4. Have your sun fun, but get defensive with a daily SPF on any exposed skin -- even in the dead of winter.

5. Get glowing with top-to-toe exfoliation three times a week and use a heavy night cream all over

Take a Bite Out Of Time
6. Go fishing. Saltwater varieties (salmon, tuna, cod and halibut) are highest in omega-3 fatty acids, which help regulate skin's glow, luster and shine.

7. Green tea time! The soothing beverage helps boost the quality of skin's elastic tissue.

8. Stock up on antioxidants. Vitamin C, vitamin E and beta-carotene found in foods like tomatoes, squash and carrots protect cells from the ugly effect of oxidation (think the weathered-leather look).

9. Pass the olive oil. It's loaded with natural chemicals that may help prevent age spots.

Work It Out
10. To beat the bulge that creeps up with age go on with a minimum of four 20-minute sessions of cardiovascular exercise weekly.

11. Pump iron to build bone density, increase muscle mass and fight osteoporosis. Lift a weight you can do manageably for 10 to 12 reps. If it's not challenging enough, increase the weight.

Do The Right Thing
12. Restore your locks' youthful luster. Hair dehydrates with age. To get make your mane beautiful again, use a hot-oil treatment weekly, and massage a deep conditioner into your scalp to replenish the moisture.

13. Find a happy medium. Super long or super short hair adds years to your face

Make Up The Difference
14. Give skin a moist, dewy finish instantly with a brightening product which can be worn under or over foundation.

15. Lids a little droopy? Slightly tilt eyeliner at the outside corners of the eyes and add a wash of highlighter along the brow bone. Use an eyelash curler and volumizing mascara for a bonus boost.

16. After 25, lips begin to thin. Plump up your pout using a neutral pencil to line, and fill them once you've prepped with a balm. Polish 'em off with a moisturizing lipstick that contains an SPF.

Face These Facts
17. Prominent pores a problem? Hormonal changes in the 20s and 30s cause them to enlarge, making the complexion appear rough and uneven. Use oil-blotting papers and toners with ingredients like chamomile and witch hazel to temporarily swell the skin around the pores, which makes them seem smaller.

18. Seeing spots? At 30, signs of past sun damage may begin to creep up in the form of freckles. Dose the dots with an over-the-counter bleaching cream or talk to your dermatologist about a prescription containing hydroquinine or last treatments.

19. Laugh lines making you frown? Forehead creases giving you a headache? Talk to your doctor about injectables like Botox, Restylane or collagen.

Lay It On Those Lines
20. Moisture is the key to keeping your eyes looking young and alert! Perk up your peepers with a dab of eye cream twice daily.

21. Treat wrinkles, brown spots and stretch marks with a doctor-recommended dream cream.

Hair Massage
Hair breakage needs a little extra care while massaging and hence the massage has to be gentle. Warm any of the natural oils like coconut oil, olive oil or almond oil and gently massage your scalp with it. Hot oil treatment will moisturize the hair and leave it smooth and soft, by replenishing the lost moisture. These oils also make hair it strong as they are rich in Vitamin E; an essential component for hair growth. Leave the oil on your hair for sometime. You can even dip towel in hot water and cover your hair with it. Now, wash it with a shampoo and condition it.

Balanced Diet
The fiber obtained from fruits and vegetable provides sufficient amount of protein that can keep the hair stronger. Drinking ten glasses of water each day also hydrates the hair. Take vitamin E, C, zinc and silica rich diets and see your hair long, strong and shining in not time at all

Egg Yolk Treatment
In a small bowl, combine one egg yolk and 2 tbsp of olive oil. Now, mix them well, using a fork for the purpose. Apply the mixture on wet hair, while concentrating on the ends. Be sure to avoid your scalp. Keep the mixture on your hair for 1-2 hours and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Now, wash your hair with a shampoo and condition it.

Vitamin E Treatment
The vitamin E treatment is a very simple and effective way to treat hair breakage. Just take about five or six vitamin E capsules and combine them with your favorite shampoo and proceed to wash your hair as usual. You can even add them to your oil, massage your hair with the same and wash your hair after a couple of hours.

Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera helps in maintaining the pH level of the scalp, by cleaning the pores and hence, prevents hair breakage and loss, making them healthy, beautiful, and strong. Muddle up Aloe Vera gel with a small amount of wheat gram oil and coconut milk and use it as a shampoo on your hair. You will be able to see the results within a matter of weeks.

Henna
The traditional Indian herb henna acts as a natural conditioner that effectively works in maintaining healthy hair. It heals the hair pipe by repairing and sealing the cuticle and protecting the hair against breakage and loss of shine. Mix sixty grams of henna leaves and 250 ml of mustard oil and boil it. Now filter the mixture using a cloth and store it. Massage the scalp regularly with this oil.

Tips

* Avoid any shampoo with harsh chemical contents, as it will damage your scalp and hair. Instead, use a natural or baby shampoo.

* Avoid shampooing your hair everyday, as it strips it off natural oil. Rinse your hair well after shampooing, as it will prevent the residue from clogging up the pores.

* A conditioner protects the hair, by coating it with a creamy layer that saves it from harsh sunlight and pollution. Squeeze a 4 to 6 vitamin E gel tablet in the conditioner and use it to avoid hair breakage. People with oily hair should use hair serum instead.

* Lock up all your styling products, like gel, straightner, color and rollers, for sometime. They will only add to your problem of hair breakage, by outing extra stress on hair.

* Brushing your hair with soft-bristled brush spreads the natural oil from the scalp to the hair, promoting blood circulation that helps in hair growth.

* Avoid brushing your hair when it is wet. Pat your hair dry after washing, instead of rubbing them with towel. Use wide-toothed comb for the purpose, as it will discourage hair breakage.

How To Clean Tarnished Gold Jewelry

  ...

* Pour a mild cleaner, like dishwashing liquid, on to the gold jewelry. Make sure to pour some extra amount on the tarnished part of the jewelry.
* Gently rub the tarnished part with your finger. In case the tarnish is tough and does not get removed, use a soft bristle brush for cleaning the jewelry.
* After cleaning with the mild cleaner, rinse the jewelry with warm water.
* Dry the jewelry using a soft cotton cloth. Before putting it back into the jewelry box, it is advisable to lay it flat for a minimum of 24 hours. This will ensure proper drying of the jewelry.
*

Another Method

* You can get the ultrasonic machine at home, to clean the tarnished gold jewelry.
* Pour the cleansing liquid into the machine to clean the dirt and tarnishes off the jewelry. You can make the cleansing liquid at home, by mixing 95% ammonia with liquid dish soap.
* Once the cleansing liquid is poured and machine is set on, ultrasonic sound waves will be radiated, which will eventually break up the dirt and tarnished portions of the gold.
* You will get absolutely clean jewelry, with no scratches on it.

Tips

* Avoid using baking soda, toothpaste or any type of tough cleaners on gold. Since gold is a soft metal, using these things might cause scratches.
* Take proper care of your gold jewelry. Clean it at frequent intervals, to make it stay shining for a longer duration of time.
* Always keep gold jewelry in a protected case, so as to avoid any scratching from the surrounding material.
* Though while cleaning the gold jewelry you will need warm water, avoid its regular exposure to warm water. Do not wear gold jewelry while taking hot shower for a long duration of time.

Eyebrow Enhancement Tips

* Allow thin eyebrows to grow fully. If over-plucking has caused your eyebrow to become thin, allow them to grow back, until they begin to display their original shape. You can use to mascara to tame your eyebrows while they are growing, to avoid an unkempt look.

* You can also try tinting options for thin eyebrows. If you get your hair colored, you may well ask your stylist to color your brows as well, one shade lighter than the color of your hair. It will become easier to figure out how many lashes you actually have, once the hair gets colored. You can also use a touchup pen to impart color to your eyebrows.

* Before you begin to pluck your eyebrow, brush the hair up and trim the tip of the hair that extends further than the top edges of your hair. While plucking hinders hair growth, trimming serves to stimulate hair follicles. For a more natural look while trimming the eyebrows, take care not to trim straight across the hair. Cut them one by one, using an eyebrow trimmer.

* It is important to remember that the eyebrow lash you are plucking will never grow again. Therefore, only pluck the stray lashes, which fall on the outside of the natural brow shape. If you want to figure out from where your eyebrows should begin, hold a pencil straight up and down along the edge of your nostril. The eyebrow area begins from where the pencil touches the brow bone.

* Use eyebrow powder in place of eyebrow pencil. Eyebrow pencil leaves a sharp and thin line of color on the eyebrow area, which looks awkward on the face. Eyebrow powder gives a fuller and more even appearance to the brows and also stays on longer, due to its oil base. Go for a color that is one shade lighter than the color of your hair. Use small feathery strokes to conceal the thin spots and define the natural brow shape. Brush your brows up and out, to blend the color well.

Useful Tip

Your thin eyebrows can become thicker by the use of some hair growth oils and products. If you have tried everything and nothing seems to be working, you can switch over to hair growth solutions. Religious application will give you the desired results.

Blondes Are Back
Blonde is beautiful. Blonde hair has always been considered as sexy and attractive; remember the diva Marlin Munroe and the more recent Kylie Minogue, Scarlett Johansson, Gwen Steffeni and Cameron Diaz. Today all the celebrities from Victoria Beckham to Lindsay Lohan are seen sporting blonde tresses. So if you always wanted to sport this trend, it is right time for you to go for blonde mane. Experts believe blonde hair help in emanating warmth. Moreover, a variety shades are available to suite your skin type. Strawberry blonde, light ashes blonde, light golden blonde, medium champagne and dark blonde etc are some of the “in” shades of blonde hair color this season. However, remember that if you are olive or dark skinned, blonde color may look unnatural on you.

Plums/Mahogany/Auburn
If you are bored with the same hair color but don’t want to experiment too much then you can consider shades of plums, mahogany or auburn. These not only give you a fresh and gorgeous look but would also give your face a soft look. Although before you choose any of the given colors, make sure that you are not giving your hair a drastic change. For instance if you have blonde hair, then switching to auburn, plum or mahogany, color would be a bit drastic. This change would be a good change for brunettes. However if you have ivory or creamy toned skin, then you can go with these hair colors.

Bright Red
Red hairs are all over ramps in this year’s autumn/winter and spring/ summer collection. Red hair helps you in enhancing the facial features making them look soft and give them a glow. It also gives you an innocent yet a mystical look. There is a variety of red hair colors to choose from. However, if you have a pink or rosy skin tone it is better to avoid the red shades of hair colors. If you have a warmer skin tone with brown or hazel green eyes, then red shades would look great on you. As red hair color is the brightest shade of hair colors, you need to choose the one, which compliments your skin tone. The different shades of red hair color ranges from light strawberry ginger, maroon, burgundy, to even fire red, cherry red, crimson color, orange red hair etc. You could also go with red hair color with different undertones.

Black Undertones
Giving a black undertone to your hair will give a natural and glossy look to your hair. In addition, it will make your hair look more subtle and soft. Whether you are going for a blonde hair color or a brown hair color, you could give a black undertone to it.

Some Other Hair Color Trends
Although the most famous hair colors are mostly subtle this year, designers are also bringing out hair colors, which are funky and colorful, literally. So, if you are among people who dig punk style and want to go for dramatic and bold colors for hair, you don’t need to be disappointed. The hair colors like Deep tones of eggplant, Ombre highlights (Drew Barrymore style), lavender, multicolored highlights etc would also be “in” this year. In addition, the year 2010 will see a lot of reds or chocolates blended with purple tones. Moreover, one more trend, which is believed to be in rage throughout 2010, is the matching of hair color with the outfit. The hair is matched with the clothes by highlighting a strand or two or even more with a matching color of the clothes.
