Director Viji Thampy, whose Nammal Thammil was recently released after a long gap, is now getting ready for his next film Chemistry. To be produced by Nagaraj under the banner of Vaishnavi Creations, Chemistry will have five young girls in the key roles.

While Saranya Mohan and Shilpa Bala (Orkkuka Vallappozhum fame) have been finalized, the others are yet to be fixed. Depicting a story of strong bonding between five girls, Chemistry will start rolling by the end of June.

Also in the cast are Mukesh, Manoj K. Jayan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Siddique, Ashokan and others. Cinematography is by Sanjeev Shankar.


Chemistry Malayalam Film Review :

Chemistry movie tells about a group five pupils in a well known school. One day three among them, Gowri, Aleena and Sindhu have committed suicide. This incident annoyed the students, teachers and local people. But nobody including their friends in the group did not know the reason for suicide.

Chemistry is the movie based on friendship among five young girls. It is directed by one of the front line directors of Malayalam Viju Thampy. Though his recent films Krithyam, Satyameva Jayate, Kudumbakodathi did not make good business, he maintains his style and standard of making films. This film has got thriller as its genre, five girls studying in same school and also good friends who always love to make fun and were enjoying their life very much. One sudden morning three girls among the five are found dead, there starts the mystery of story. Even the remaining two friends don’t know the reason behind the death of their friends.

Saranya Mohan and Silpa Bala are playing the roles of heroines, they are the two girls surviving and moving through the story. Akarsh and Midhun are heroes but their roles are not so dominating like the girls. Krishnavijay, Devaki, Drisya are also playing leading roles in film. M.Jaya Chandran is composing music and Bichu Thirumala is doing with lyrics. One of the refreshing Mollywood movies of the year, Renjith Shankar’s ‘Passenger’, will be shortly remade in Tamil. Titled as ‘Muriyadi’, the movie produced by K Balachandar’s Kavithalaya will be directed by Selva.

Sathyaraj will play the role of the ordinary man done in the original by Sreenivasan. While Ganesh Venkatraman will appear as the honest lawyer, played by Dileep in the original, the role of the journo played by Mamtha will be done by Remya Nambeesan in the remake. The movie will carry more number of songs by D Imaan, to suit the taste of Tamil audiences.

Souparnika’s Menaka Sureshkumar produced Play House distributed Neelathamara gets ready for release this Friday (Nov 20). The film is a remake of the 1979 classic hit, written by M.T. Vasudevan Nair and directed by Yusaf Ali Kechery.
