How do you make successful forums? I currently have no members on my forums: http://grheav.netfreehost.com/. How do you attract people to the Forums?

I know that... but how would I go about advertising it. I advertise, but not very well. Shocked

You need to offer something people want and can't find anywhere alse, like gwe told you, think about it and you should get some ideas... attracting ppl to your site is the hardest part of web bussines.

Maybe u should make it a little bigger on the games... If u for an example add a game like Half Life 2 u will get user from that game also people doesnt allways randomly go too some forums with no users and u can get youur friends too register there.

You need more content, empty forums will not attract anyone. It is a lot of work to make something popular..

What you need is some more posts, from maybe your friends etc. (People won't post in an empty forum) Then you need a high traffic area that has a link, description of your forum. With that you need people to stay interested in your idea. You can't have people bailing out or getting bored.

Don't give up, it's very, very difficult to start from scratch.

Well when you have a meaning for the forum, then you can go to other communites that are related to your stuff and advertise there.

I made an AoK Trial Official Forum for a reason, to give the Aok Trial gaming People a comfortable place to give their opinions and upload their games and stuff to give them the best forum community ever.
I advertised long ago in the AOk Trial Lobby, and I advertised it to my friends from the community and to friends not even closely related to the game. And now I have a huge administration I get tons of posts a day and now I'm nutorious in many ways.

So if you can understand what I talked about then you should be able to do the same.
