Because I can't help but notice things like:

Which kind of don't fit the bill at all...

Btw, i knocked up a (correctly formatted) transparent gif for Nokia's avatarr as it's currently a tranparent png file (which doesn't display as transparent in IE), so if someone could point him in this direction?
