Annan Thambi: Another Hit in the Making?

Anwar Rasheed, who had earlier directed Rajamanickam and Chotta Mumbai, has now started the shoot for his latest film, Annan Thampi, starring Mammootty in dual role.

Produced by Shahul Hameed Marikkar and Anto Joseph under the banner of Marikkar Films, Annan Thampi tells the story of twin brothers Appu and Achchu. The film has started rolling in and around Pollachi and has Gopika and Lakshmi Rai playing the female lead roles.

Also in the cast are Siddique, Hairsri Ashokan, Cochin Haneefa, Salim Kumar, Rajan P. Dev, Suraaj Venjaramoodu, Manianpillai Raju, Bijukuttan, Master Monu, Master Sonu, KPAC Lalitha, Urmila Unni etc. Benny P. Nayarambalam, who had scripted many hit movies like Chanthupottu, Thommanum Makkalum etc, pens the script for Annan Thampi, which would be Mammootty's Vishu release.
