can I change my signature/avatar automatically?

I've noticed when I modify some info in my profile (e.g. avatar, signature, etc.), the older messages don't reflect it, and the changes take effect from the next message I post and on.
Is there a way to make my older messages show my new signature/avatar whenever I change it?

From my own personal experience, I don't believe that you can manage to get your older posts to reflect your new signature. However, your avatar should change on all posts, both old as well as new.
