Characters:

Kabir Lal (John Abraham): Wow! Unbeliavble! Guess who has landed as my new favorite actor? You guessed it! This guys very first movie and it?s the best performance I?ve seen in a LONG TIME! John carries out such a complex role so well! I haven?t seen anyone with a better debut than John ever! John plays this drunkard lawyer who constantly gets drunk for various reasons. He is a very strange character who can never figure himself out. In the midst of the situation he falls in love with a married woman who turns out to be a complete B***h! All I have to say is I don?t think even some of the best and most talented Bollywood stars can carry out this kind of role so well! Good for you John! I see a very bright future for you!

Sonia Khanna (Bipasa Basu): I expected nothing less from the talented and beautiful Bipasha Basu! Bipasha plays the husband of Gulshan Grover. Bipasha never ceases to amaze me in her movies. Raaz was unbelievably good. And now to add to her outstanding career she releases Jism. Some of the intimate scenes in the movie are carried out very well by her and I constantly rewound the movie to the special scene with her in Jaddu Hai Nasha. Sonia seems to be a pretty decent girl but shows her true colors later in the film. Sonia plays an excellent anti-heroine. Both her and John Abraham will make this movie a big hit! After seeing this movie Bipasha has earned her place as my favorite actress.


Story:

Jism starts out with a man named Kabir coming out of his van obviously wounded and looks like he isn?t going to live for very long. He talks about that his life is over and talks about the mistakes he had amde in the past that he deeply regretted. Then we see what had happened in the past (I?d guess a month or so.) John is seen with two friends. One of them being a cop and Kabir?s closest friend. Kabir is drunk and we then realize that he is a very confused man who doesn?t understand himself or life. His friends just leave him since they cannot do anything and tell him to come to court the next day since he has to fight a case.
After going to the courtroom and meeting with his client who is actually a bad man. We find out that Kabir isn?t one of those good and pure lawyers. However, I can?t really go as far as to call him corrupt. That?s too strong of a word. Anyways, after meeting up with him and promising to release him despite the fact that he committed the crime, he goes to the beach and meets up with a girl who later reveals herself to be Sonia Khanna in a bar. Kabir tries hitting on her but Sonia says that she is married. After a while he persuades her to come to her house to check out the ?windchimes? (note what I mean when I say ?windchimes? lol). Then he is convinced that Sonia isn?t happily married and Sonia tells Kabir to get out of the house since he?s trying to get intimate with her. However, Kabir comes back moments later an breaks the door open and they get very intimate. That is the beginning of the mistake that Kabir makes.
After all the intimacy, Gulshan Grover (I forgot his name in the movie...srry!) comes back from his business trip. The biggest importance about Gulshan is that he is VERY RICH! Sonia tells Kabir beforehand that her husband is only home on the weekends since he has some sort of job which requires him to be out most of the time. Kabir is so angry that the girl he loves is in the arms of another man that he eventually promises to kill Gulshan. This brings a big smirk on Sonia?s face. He commits the murder only to regret what he did. Then we find out that Sonia wants to change the will of her husband and somehow manages to do so. To her sister-in-laws disappointment this happens. But then we are treated to a very important fact said by the sister-in-law. It turns out that Sonia was the nurse of Gulshan?s ex-wife. Gulshan?s ex-wife had a high fever and Sonia took all the blankets off and opened to windows. I?m really not exactly sure what happened but she murdered Gulshan?s ex-wife. Gulshan never figured this out. Kabir is shocked by this and confronts his lover. It turns out that she merely used to him to get Gulshan?s fortune. She never loved him. However, Kabir still loves Sonia and promises to confess his crime to the police and not say anything about Sonia. Sonia shoots Kabir in the back. Kabir is shocked and tells her to shoot him if she wants since there is nothing left in life if Sonia doesn?t love Kabir. Sonia then opens up and realizes that she loves Kabir. Kabir too loves Sonia but realizes that he has to kill her. He does so and leaves the scene.
Kabir calls his friends to the spot where the movie first started before the flashback. He tells his cop friend to arrest him for the crime he committed. His two friends insist on taking him to the hospital but he refuses. Minutes later he dies from his wound in the back. That my friends is the end of an excellent movie!

Note: It is very hard to summarize this movie so you may be confused at parts. This is an extremely complex movie. Very hard to summarize! Sorry!!!


Movie Review:

9/10 - I loved it! The only flaw was the end where Sonia all of a sudden loves Kabir was very unconvincing to me. But this is easily my new favorite movie! I recommend to all!

Music Review:

8.5/10 - Excellent music! I really loved all the songs but I wish there was at least one upbeat song! But hey its all good! The music fit this movie VERY WELL!!!
