Requirement---

1) Device Drivers & Low-level Software

- Understanding of HW boards

- Board Support Packages & HW upbringing

- Experience in writing device drivers

- Memory, performance and Interrupt management

- Functional abstraction



2) Graphical User Interfaces

- GUI design paradigms

- Design patterns and understanding of application frameworks

- High level application development and GUI design

- Functional abstraction

- Design for memory and performance



3) Application Development

- Design and implementation of complex systems

- Understanding of application frameworks

- Threading and IPC

- Design and implement for memory and performance

- Good overall system knowledge and overview

- Excellent knowledge in areas like:

- Communications (Telephony & Datacom)

- Multimedia Protocols and Services

- Messaging Services & Protocols

- Storage system design and engines

- Positioning Services

- High-level application services (Phonebook, Calendar,

PIM, etc)

- Design for memory and performance



4) System Development

- Comprehensive understanding of the overall system design

- Excellent knowledge in areas like:

- Communications (Telephony & Datacom)

- Multimedia Protocols and Services

- Messaging Services & Protocols

- Storage system design and engines

- Positioning Services

- High-level application services (Phonebook, Calendar,

PIM, etc)

- Comprehensive understanding of various software layers and functionality

- System design concepts and extendibility

- Design for memory and performance fine tuning



Mandatory skills for all profiles

Common to all profiles:



- 6+ years of solid embedded systems expertise

- Domain expertise in telecommunications, preferably in terminal architectures

- Solid programming experience in C/C++ languages, COM/CORBA knowledge is a plus

- Good understanding of product development lifecycle & SW Engineering lifecycle

- Has worked with one/more product development projects (mobile

Terminals)

- Solid understanding of one/more Embedded OS, Development tools and system design

- Good knowledge of design patterns and design of re-use

- Understanding of memory, performance and power management issues in terminals

- In-depth understanding of terminal architectures and software layers (HW to APPS)

- Solid presentation skills and ability to pro-actively collect information

- Ability to co-operate/work with/mentor a team
