Ghillli Review
Vijay in the central role of Velu, the kabbadi player who outfoxes the mafia gang of Prakashraj and rescues Trisha from them gives a splendid performance. Velu is the son of Ashish Vidhyarthi the AC of police. Dad does not like his son's interest in sports so the latter indulges in it without the knowledge of his father. On a visit to Madurai for a kabbadi match Vijay sees Prakashraj abducting Trisha in broad daylight. He rescues her and from then starts a series of adventures which leads to a thrilling climax at the kabbadi match.
Vijay as the no nonsense youth, gives a very energetic performance and has put his heart and soul in it. His action and dances are a treat to watch. Trisha as the innocent village belle lives the role and excels in the scenes when she starts pining for Vijay. Prakashraj who has done similar roles before just hams his way through. Director Dharani leaves no moment unturned and packs it with action and entertainment. Vidyasagar's music is fast paced and right for the mood of the film. Gopinath's camerawork is innovative.
