Ullam Ketkumae is a movie about college students presented in a colourful way by Mahadevan, Ganesh and Usha Venkatramani under the banner Aamni Ltd. The story revolves around 5 college mates, PEPSI is the acronym of Pooja (Laila), Eman(debutante Arya), Priya (Asin), Shaam (Shaam) and Irene (Pooja). The college life of the PEPSI team is sure to make the audience take a jog along their memory track of their college days. The PEPSI team has friendship, romance and arguments among them. “There is a price for everything in life. To achieve something, one has to sacrifice something else” is the message incorporated in the movie by director Jeeva. There is no separate comedy track. PEPSI friends along with 10 other friends make the entire movie humourous. The inter-college cultural programme occupies most of the scenes in the film. For this more than 100 college students have taken part in the shooting. On the whole Ullam Ketkumae can be viewed by the entire family.

Srinath, Abhimanyu, Kailash, Vishaal, Vaendan, Japan Kumar, Deepa, Harini, Priyanka and Sangeetha are among others cast in the movie. Sahithya Award winner lyricist Vairamuthu volunteered to write the poem recited by Shaam during the college anniversary day. Thotta Tharani has erected Eman’s marriage set in Hotel Connemera which resembles an original function. Raju Sundaram has choreographed for 5 songs. The cultural song has been choreographed with students from different states. One of the songs was shot at the ‘hot water spring’ in New Zealand. The natural and engaging dialogues are penned by Sujatha. Being a cinematographer, through out the entire movie, the director has used the same colour scheme for all the characters with great difficulty. Apart from direction Jeeva handles the story, screenplay and camera for the film. Harris Jeyaraj has scored the music. Jeeva – Harris Jeyaraj – Vairamuthu is teaming up after their first film 12B which was a musical hit. The stunt choreographer is Vikram Dharma.

The movie is slated for release in April.
