He is now in the league of the prolific, multi-lingual actor Prakash Raj, who has a famed stint in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada film industries.
Srikanth has done it all. He received rave reviews for his role of ATM in Chiranjeevi’s film Shankar Dada MBBS. He bagged a role in veteran director Raghavendra Rao’s Pelli Sandadi. He also played running around trees bit with two beautiful heroines Ravali and Deepthi Bhatnagar.
Now, his 100th film Mahatma is set to release on October 9, not only in Andhra Pradesh but also across Karnataka.

In Sandalwood, Srikanth is known for the film Ugadi, in which played alongside the lead actor Ravichandran. It was a remake of Telugu hit Santhosam which starred Nagarjuna and Gracy Singh. And it’s the one and only Kannada film he has done so far despite being a Kannadiga, but he is willing to do more.“I want to act in Kannada films but am waiting for the right time and right film,’’ says the actor.
Of the forthcoming flick Mahatma, he says, “It is a special movie based on Gandhian principles. It is the story of a rowdy residing at Gandhi Circle who transforms himself from violent person to non-violent person. It conveys a message to society’’. Krishna Vamshi is handling the megaphone. Manohar, who has produced two Kannada films, will handle the finances. The producer hints that a Kannada remake is in the offing, but only if the film gets good response.
