All phpBB forums hosted under NetFreeHost.com will be down for next 24 to 48 Hours as the hard disk is failed.

Forum Data is safe.

Forums will be online after the OS reloaded in new hard disk and data is transfered. This may take upto 48 Hours.

An Update

Server OS reinstalled (FreeBSd 6.0).

We are now installing Software, Apache Install, PHP install is going on.

MySQL and forum data is copying back. This may take hours as we got over 30 GB of data.

Will update soon...

How does a hard drive fail?

I know a harddrive can burn up overtime. But it seems to often now.

I were using bizhat for past few years & it's the 3rd downtime in i think past 2 years... So its not much , but the speed they are dealing with the problem & the updates in the progress for users sux a lot ^^
