I would have to dissagree with the poster from Texas. Although Franklin and Jefferson were certainly larger than life personalities in the founding of the American nation, I would imagine that most scholars and everyday Americans would agree that Washington is the "father of the nation".

In Thailand, we don't have the REAL Father of the Nation. It ought to be Prof. Pridi Banomyong, the leader of "Khana Ratsadon"( 'The People's Party' in English language) who carried out lightning revolution that abrupt ended 150 years of absolute monarchy under Chakri dynasty but after many coups by Thai Royal military, histories about the revolution and Mr. Pridi has been distorted.
