| The most visited country in Asia. India is the 7th largest country in the world with a population over one billion. More than one million foreign tourists visit India in a year. India is the largest democracy in the world. It was a travel destination since 300 BC (Megasthenis). No travel guide on India is not complete as India is so vast, wonderful and colourful. |

| India - home to the Indus valley civilization. India's heritage includes the decimal number system, the Buddhist art of Ajanta and the Taj Mahal. Four major world religions Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism originated here. In all sense, India is a land of "Unity in Diversity". |

Home to the Indus Valley civilization and a region of historic trade routes and vast empires, the Indian subcontinent was identified with its commercial and cultural wealth for much of its long history.
