How can i disable the constraint of posting 5 legitimate posts before adding URLs in a post?
I want members to post directly URLs in their posts without waiting for 5 legitimate posts.
I posted this to the Bizhat Support but Hope that any one here can help too .. |

I'm having the same issue, but the members have more than 5 posts. This started happening tonight.
I appreciate any help as well. Thanks. |

See

New users will not able to post URL unless they have 5 posts and 5 days. This is to stop SPAM.

Thanks for the feedback,
Although i prefer this to be optional for the Admin to decide to enable it or not.
I mean, for a newly created forum, we need to give the new members the chance to add some good resources and links to others.
But, when they face a problem like this, they may lose their willing to post.
Thanks again for the reply and the clarification. |

Actually instead of 5 posts 'or' 5 days...it said 5 posts 'and' 5 days:
Here is the exact message:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
In order to try to prevent spammers, we do not allow our users to post URLs or enter personal data into their profile until they have posted at least 5 legitimate posts and have been with us for more than 5 days. We appreciate your understanding in this matter in order to help us eliminate spam from this forum. If you have somehow gotten this message even though you meet both of the criteria, please let us know ASAP.
Thanks!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
At any rate I got the 5 posts in, its just now I must wait five days for them to look at my site to get support. {Looks at calendar} |

I posted this in it's own thread a couple days ago but got no answer so I'll try here. We have our board set up so that in some forums anyone can post, but it won't let guests links. I'm sure this is because guests aren't registered members.
I know the mod is to stop spam but if it were made so that admins could turn it on and off with the full knowledge that they must reduce spam themselves if they turn it off, then it would make it easier for some of us. |

We are fully able to delete or own spam. We need our forumites to be able to post upon arrival.
Can you please make this function voluntary choice, not forced on us? |
