CD cover artist?

I'm a young well-known artist from Australia, mostly digital (painting from scratch in photoshop with a tablet) and am interested in doing some CD cover designs/artwork for bands (or posters, web graphics etc). However I have NO idea how to get started. Are there certain companies or people I should approach for some work? I'm about to have a baby so I don't want any full-time work, but just a few commissions here and there. I know I'm being a bit vague but this is completely new to me, so if anyone has any info let me know, I'd really appreciate it!
