Photoshop error

I just started to use today. I have edited an image. I saved it. But it is saved in .PSD. How can I change it GIF, JPG or BITMAP?

open the file again.. and then say save as.. give a filename and in the extention drop down box.. select gig or jog.. and click OK..

open the image in photoshop, you can choose 'save as' option to save the image for JPg or GiF or Bitmap.

or you hav other option ' Save for Web' which will give an optimzed image out put which is too good for web design purpose.

the image size get reduzed and it will get short time to download.
