You can ask any question, may be some of the members can answer. I am not used to VB or .NET. I can answer if you have a PHP, Linux, FreeBSD related question.

In PHP, i don't think we can create multimedia player. You can do it with Flash easily. I think programming language like VB have components (not sure what it is called) for this.

nokia i want to create a school software using php,mysql and apache(free of cost) for my collage project

can u say a way to code mysql(i know oracle 9i)
how does it defer from sql*plus

Oracle and MySQL are similar. Oracle is not used in web, is transactional database, suitable for large company, financial instructions etc... MySQL is fast database, suitable for web sites.

SQL commands are slightly different from PL/SQL used by oracle. But studying MySQL commands are easy if you know Oracle SQL commands.

You started studying PHP ? If there is interest, we can start a PHP Tutorial thread, where all members with PHP knowledge can post some useful tips, that will make PHP easy to study.

We have a PHP Tutorial site, but it is not complete
