Default Java or C++

Way back when, I used to have some insane debates over this.

Java - Designed to be relatively accessible, it relies on virtual machine and uses syntax similar to C++. Not compatible with any other form of code. Limits on matrices and variables.

C++ - Much more complicated, basically built on C and thus compatible. No limits on variables.

Personally, I'd go with Java just because I've been using it for longer probably even though C++ does seem like a better language.

I'm curious to see the responses.

C++ have it's own importance and java have wide scope due to many of it's features but java is useful when you have working knowledge of J2EE as no company is working on core Java

C++ is designed for performance and low-level programming, but Java is designed for portability (platform independence)

Java is the future of the programing languages according to me. Its getting better and better in execution, and can be really best optimized for the specific architecture..
And actually .. it have started as a programming lang. for electricappliances.. for example - your microwave oven
