Asin undergoes minor surgery
Bollywood’s leading actress Asin underwent an endoscopic sinus surgery (also called endoscopy or sinoscopy) at the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on Monday morning. Asin will be discharged from the hospital in a couple of days.
Before getting admitted in the hospital, she reportedly said: "I had this irritating allergic cold with acute sinus infection and blocked nostrils. My doctor advised this minor surgery to drain my infection and clear the sinus. Within two or three days, I will be back to normal, jumping around as usual." Endoscopic sinus surgery does not involve cutting through the skin, as it is performed entirely through the nostrils.
Asin’s father Joseph Thottumkal was quoted as saying, "She can go home after three days and it’s nothing serious. She has completed all her ad commitments and I am insisting that she takes two weeks rest at home before she bucks up for the London Dreams promotion starting in first week of October."
