    Hey, I'm ordering from a company, I am doing a computer upgrade for my son. He has right now. a PIII 800MHz, 512MB ram, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, SB Live! 24-bit

    I'm buying a Computer upgrade for him. I currently Have $700 CDN (aprox $568 american) that I intend to spend on his computer.

    Well the deal I got from the company was.

    AMD Athlon 3200
    1GB DDR ram
    AMD Motherboard
    Case
    200GB HDD

    $650.00 ($527 USD)

    Do you guys think that's a good deal?

    Well, considering I know where to get good deals (not online mind you, but person to person) I think $568 USD is a bit much. what speed of RAM? what Motherboard (make and model) do you know that the case looks like? will your son like it? what speed and make is the hardrive? (RPM speed)? this all take into consideration. Though I think you are already planning to take your sons Video card and sound card out of the old machine and into the new one, that's waht I'd do. Honestly though, I would think it's high, but I can't really say.
