Cello design

Well I am a Product Design student at the University of Brighton.
At the moment we are working on a project called "emotional design".
My idea is to redesign a music instrument , the Cello.

Since this is the debating section , I would be more than grateful for any comments regarding the shape , colour and function of the Cello.

Also please post , what kind of feeling does the appearance of the Cello evoke in you?
Also dont just think of the cello as just a classical instrument. Also remember there is music like Apocalyptica, who used to play Metallica on cellos.

The cello, to me, should be a very fluid/flowing and sexy instrument--while maintaining it's beauty.

The modern one there certainly maintains that beauty. Changes from the ordinary into the 21st century are encouraging.
