    Yea i got that error this morning myself when i tyred to upload my phpnuke site i wish i could use the htacess file though it brings some more securty to the host dont it ??

    Read the FAQ section 12:

    12. Allowed .htaccess files? My PHP-Nuke needs them.

    No. You can't upload .htaccess files. If you uploaded, it will be deleted soon. PHP-Nukes, Modifications of PHP-Nukes working without .htaccess file. Don't worry, .htaccess is not critical. All will work correctly without .htaccess.

    There are ways to install PHP Nuke without .htacces.

    phpnuke does not require the .htaccess file, the server does not allow you to upload files with a "." at the front. All the .htaccess file is is a custom error page

    does any1 know a host that will allow /htaccess files, as i have built a chatsite (auto refreshing tagboard), and it requires the use of the .htaccess file

    anybody know a host that will allow me to upload this file?
