CGI
CGI is an extension of the perl programming language. We are currently running perl 5.6.1. You can learn more about using perl and CGI from www.perl.org.
File Manager
The File Manager allows you to manage your site through HTML, rather than an FTP tool or other third-party application. You can upload, create or delete files, organize files in folders, and change file permissions.
MySQL
MySQL is a database server. It allows you to store organized records most commonly used with web programming.
FrontPage Extensions
Frontpage Extensions allow you to publish your web site using Microsoft Frontpage. These extensions can occasionally become corrupted, so you can uninstall and then reinstall Frontpage Extensions whenever required.
Fantastico
Fantastico is a feature provided with our control panel. Using fantastico you can automatically install and configure many popular PHP/MySQL back end web applications. The applications provided by fantastico and listed on the features page.
Webalizer

Awstats

FTP
FTP = File Transfer Protocol. Most web designers prefer to upload their web sites using a FTP client to connect to our FTP server. More detailed information about using FTP can be viewed in our Getting started Guide
ImageMagick
ImageMagick is a server side image manipulation tool used by many web site scripts and applications that deal with pictures. All of our servers have the latest version of ImageMagick installed and available for your use.
Email Forwarders
Email forwarders allow you to create new email accounts such as [email protected] that actually forward the incoming email to any address you specify. Many users find this any easy way to forward all of their business email accounts to their personal email account for easy retrieval.
Email Lists
An email list is a collection of multiple email address's connected together. Using email lists you can email multiple India the same email message very quickly by directing the message to the list.
Email Autoresponders
An Auto responder is a predefined message that is sent back to every inbound email you receive. They are commonly used to send "Thank you" type messages to prospective clients.

Password Protected Directories
Using our control panel you can easily restrict access to certain parts of your site. This feature will allow you to create multiple username and password combinations that are allowed access to a particular portion of your site.
Custom Error Pages
Our Control Panel will allow you to display custom error pages for any type of web error. This feature is most commonly used to create a custom "Page not Found" or 404 error page to be displayed whenever a user misspells a page or clicks on a link that no longer desists.
Raw Log Manager
Raw access logs contain all the recorded hit information that your site has received. You can set the Raw Log Manager to archive this information every month and/or delete the previous month's log at the end of every month.
Search Engine Submit
This feature allows you to submit your site and keywords to google, alltheweb, directhit, hotbot, lycos and mixcat for free.
Cron Jobs
Cron jobs allow you to automate repetitive tasks on the server that hosts your web site. This is a powerful tool that allows you to take a hands-free approach to repetitive tasks. For example, you could add a cron job that automatically copies a MySQL database to a separate location on your site as a backup.
Domain Look up
Allows you to look up information about a particular domain.
Traceroute
Allows you to trace the IP (Internet Protocol) route taken by your server to reach your current ISP (Internet Service Provider).
MIME Types
MIME types tell browsers how to handle specific extensions. Most MIME types are set globally on the server. For example, the text/html MIME type equates to htm, html, and shtml extensions on most servers, and this tells your browser to interpret all files with those extensions as HTML files. You can alter or add new MIME types specifically for your site (note that you can not alter the global MIME type values, only add to them). MIME types are often used to handle new technologies as they appear. When WAP technology first appeared no one had these extensions set up on their server. With MIME types, however, you could have set it up yourself and begun serving WAP pages immediately.
Apache Handlers
Apache is an open-source HTTP server, and is used to serve your site. Apache handlers tell the server how to deal with web files that need to be processed on the server. For example, Apache is set up to process files with .pl extensions using Perl. However, if for some reason you also wanted to process files with .script extension using Perl, then you would have to set up a custom Apache handler for your site.
Open PGP Keys
OpenPGP is a tool for secure online communication. CPanel uses GnuPG for its public-key cryptography so that users may communicate securely. Each person gets a pair of keys, called the public key and the private key. Each person's public key is published while the private key is kept secret. Messages are encrypted using the intended recipient's public key and can only be decrypted using their private key. General documentation and comprehensive user guides are available at the GNU Privacy Guard site.
Hotlink Protection
Hotlinking is when another web site owner links directly to one or more of your images or multimedia files and includes it on their web page. Not only is this theft of your intellectual property, you are paying for the bandwidth used by that site. Our Control Panel can prevent hotlinking by only allowing named sites (such as your own web site) to access files on your site.
Index Manager
The Index Manager enables you to control how directories on your web site are displayed. If there is no index.html in a particular directory, the contents of the directory will be displayed to the browser. This is usually undesirable and can cause security issues. You can set the four different options for any directory through the Index Manager:
IP Deny Manager
The IP Deny Manager enables you to block access to your web site from specific IP addresses. This is useful to remove nuisance surfers who use a large amount of bandwidth or to prevent hotlinking to your site (refer to HotLink Prevention for more information about hotlinking).
Backup Management
The Backup area allows you to download the daily, weekly, or monthly backup file of your entire web site, or a particular MySQL, alias, or filter backup file. If your computer crashes, or your personal backups are destroyed, these files allow you to recover your site in a convenient manner

Random HTML
This is a Random HTML generator. It picks a string of HTML code from a list and inserts it in an SSI (Server Side Includes) enabled web page.
