Ever since the announcement of Mohit Suri's next with Sidharth Malhotra, under Balaji Motion Pictures was made, most people were referring to the film as The Villain. But there's a possibility that it may not be the title of the film. Tanuj Garg, CEO, Balaji Motion Pictures, says, "It's just a provisional title." Director Mohit Suri adds, "We've been using it as a working title when working on the script. We are yet to finalise the title."

Shraddha Kapoor plays the lead opposite the SOTY actor. Garg confirmed that the film will go on the floors by the end of this month.

Meanwhile, another film, the Arjun Rampal- starrer with director Sam Ahmed is titled Villain as well. The film also has Arunoday Singh in an important role.
