MUZAFFARNAGAR, UP: A local court today adjourned till December 4 the hearing in the three cases against tennis player Sania Mirza for allegedly insulting national anthem during a function two years ago. Three separate cases were filed against Sania for allegedly insulting national anthem under The Prevention of Insult to National Honour Act 1971, on November 8, 2008, the prosecution said.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Vikas Goel has now fixed December 4 for further hearing. According to the complaints, Sania was not standing at attention when the national anthem was being played during the closing ceremony of a women's tennis tournament where she was the chief guest.
