Default LG Revolution – 4.3 inch Android Smart Phone

LG Revolution – 4.3 inch Android Smart Phone

LG Revolution is comparatively larger device with its 4.3 inch touch screen display, it also feels little bulky especially comparing it to the slimmer iphone 4, Galaxy S2 from Samsung etc which are setting the trends for how thin the smart phone should be in future, made of plastic for the most part but it weighs substantial around 172g perhaps one of the heaviest android device at present? quite possible. It has a metal strip at the back which is typical mark of most LG devices these days, at the rear end is the 5MP camera with LED flash support, there is also a tiny speaker grills along with a small microphone which does a good job when you want to record videos.

To the top is the 3.5 mm headphone jack and on/off button, to the right is the volume rocker along with miniHDMI port, to the right is where you find the microUSB port. Coming back to the display its a 4.3 inch super LCD display with the resolution of 480 x 800 pixels density which is not the best especially considering the size of the display which is bigger than most 3.8 inch display with the same resolution, also the iphone 4 display which has substantially higher pixels density with its 3.5 inch display, but nevertheless its a nice looking display with great color reproduction and images and videos do pop out and performs well under bright light conditions, viewing angles lies on the average side, over all its a nice looking display screen.

Does feature support for multi touch, accelerometer, light sensor and proximity sensor. Just under the display is the usual capacitive touch controls for an android smart phone. Under the hood this phone is powered by 1Ghz snapdragon processor, though its not a dual core processor this phone is quite snappy to use with no lags. Runs on android 2.2 Froyo which might look bit awkward but there should be an upgrade to android 2.3v on the way. Its a customized android interface and we can clearly notice some traces of samsung touchwiz and HTC sense, but putting it apart LG has done a good job with the customizing the interface making it more usable and user friendly over all.

Call quality lies on the average side this is especially due to the speakers that is found at the extreme top end, built in microphone performs quite well. 5MP camera at the rear end takes good quality pictures and records videos in good quality at sufficiently lighted conditions, though it lacks little details and colors are slightly saturated over all image and video quality is definitely usable, also the LED flash does a great job under low light conditions.

Connectivity options include LTE, 3G, HDMI, USB 2.0, Wifi, GPRS, EDGE and Bluetooth. It has a built in memory of 16GB and supports microSD card up to a memory of 32GB so its memory can be expanded up to a maximum capacity of 48GB which is more than sufficient for a mobile device. Battery life on its 1500 mAh li-ion battery claimed to support around 7.5 hours of talktime and 335 hours of standby time.
