Default "User Admin" -> "Dissallow Names" no longer working

On our forum cumbernauld.s1.bizhat.com I had set "*" as a disallowed user name
as I became so fed up with bogus registrations. When I then knew of a
legitimate user I would then remove "*" as a banned user name for a short
period so that they could register.

Now however I don't have the option to remove "*" as a banned user yet the
setting still seems to be getting applied and as a result our
forum is now left in a state where all new registrations are banned.

Is this just a problem with our site or are others affected too?

All new users are currently unable to register on mine with disallowed user name errors. I have never used the disallow user names panel before, and am not able to add/remove disallowed usernames. Possibly the same issue?

I did this shortly after your post, however nobody has contacted me and the problem persists.
