1. West Pier. This pier experienced some destruction in '02 and '03, but the remnants of the beautiful Victorian construction still remain today. It's a great place to walk up to after sunset, especially with its gorgeous views of the ocean. It's a few minutes walk from Brighton Pier, and it's worth exploring when you want to take a long stroll.

2. Royal Pavilion. This gorgeous building was built in 1787 as a villa, but underwent a transformation during the early 1800s to become a palace-like attraction. It's open to the public every day, and worth a visit to explore the Eastern-inspired interior and royal gardens.

3. Brighton Museum and Art Gallery. This gallery is located right on the grounds of the Royal Pavilion, a place to explore both historic and contemporary art from European artists. The museum exhibits will take you through some British history and culture. Admission is free, but do keep in mind that the venue is closed on Mondays.

4. English's of Brighton. This seafood restaurant has been in business for over 150 years, and is one of the best places to enjoy a classic order of fish and chips. This restaurant is always busy, so plan on spending at least an hour or so for lunch or dinner.
