Penn Pattanam, unique theme

V.M.Vinu directed Penn Pattanam is releasing today (July 29). Revathy is making a comeback of sorts to Malayalam cinema after a sabbatical.

The story written by director Renjith depicts the day today life of four Kudumbashree member's played by Revathy, Swetha Menon, KPAC Lalitha and teenager Vishnupriya.

Swetha hopes the film would be another break in her career after Paleri Manikkam.She had even met an accident while shooting for Penn Pattanam.

Neelathamara fame Kailash and Nedumudi Venu are other actors in the film directed by VM Vinu.

Movie is produced by Subair under the banner of Varnachithra. Sanjeev Shankar is the cinematographer, while screenplay is by veteran T.A.Razak and music by MG Sreekumar.

Will Penn Pattanam shot in Kozhikode and surrounding areas bring in some freshness and innovation to Malayalam cinema besieged by super heroes and stories which has traces of Kollywood and Bollywood?
