Sandalwood beckons Lakshmi Rai

Lakshmi Rai may apparently be not getting the roles she desire, from Kollywood and Tollywood. But Sandalwood is beckoning the Belgaum beauty, if one has to go by what sources say.

"Post the release of Kalpana, the Kannada version of her Tamil-Telugu hit Kanchana, Lakshmi Rai has been getting meaty roles in Kannada, which is her mother tounge as well," sources say.

They add that the actress is happy that she is able to bag such offers in her home industry. "But she is keen to make her presence felt in Kollywood and Tollywood too," they say.

Last week, Lakshmi Rai had the release of 'Thaandavam' in Tamil. The Vikram starrer film is now gearing up to hit the screens in Telugu, as 'Siva Thaandavam'.
