Thuppakki' opens big

After the longish wait, Vijay's 'Thuppaki' hit theatres on the big day - Deepavali. And, the eager fans lapped it up in style, so to speak. In short, the film by A R Murugadoss opened big and the makers must have been delighted.

'Thuppakki' was a big-ticket offering from Dhanu and Vijay's presence made it bigger. Fans were of the opinion that the actor had come up with a stylish performance in the film and enhanced his reputation with a super show. It is said while his dancing skills, always top-notch had the audience spell-bound, Vijay revelled in the comedy scenes too.

With biggies not doing too well at the box-office in the recent past, there were fears that 'Thuppakki' may be affected too, but they have been blown away now, thanks to the strong opening salvo by 'Thuppakki.'

The film also features Kajal Agarwal as the heroine, Vidyut Jamwal, Sathyan and Jayaram in important roles and music by Harris Jayaraj is already a rage.
