C-DAC admission test

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) under the Union government has invited applications for a common admission test to be held on December 2 and 16 across the country for admission to various postgraduate diploma courses.

Applications can be submitted till December 5. The courses start on February 20.

The 24-week, full-time job-oriented courses are in Advanced Computing, Wireless and Mobile Computing, VLSI Design, Embedded Systems Design, IT Infrastructure System and Security, System Software Development, Automation and SCADA Systems, Integrated VLSI and Embedded systems Design, Healthcare Informatics, Geoinformatics and Computational Linguistics and NLP. Engineering graduates and those with an M.Sc. in Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Sciences or Information Technology may apply for the course in Advanced Computing.

Graduates in any engineering branch and those with an MCA, B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electronics may apply for the course in Wireless and Mobile Computing. Those with a B.Tech. degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Electronics and Telecommunication and Instrumentation get preference.

Those with a B.Tech. or M.Tech. degree in Electronics, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Instrumentation and Computer Science engineering and M.Sc. degree in Electronics may apply for the VLSI Design course.

Those with a B.Tech. degree in Electronics, Electrical and Electronics, Instrumentation and Computer Science engineering or B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electronics may apply for the course in Integrated VLSI and Embedded System Design. Those with a B.Tech. or M.Tech. degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics and Communication and Electronics and Telecommunication or an MCA degree may apply for the course in IT Infrastructure Systems and Security.
