Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Recruitment for "Clerks" - May 2013
The history of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd., the then Nadar Bank Ltd., dates back to 1921. The thought of establishing a bank under the guidance of the able Nadar business community was mooted out in the Anniversary of Nadar Mahajana Sangam held at Tuticorin in 1920. The proposal was effected soon. The bank was registered on May 11, 1921 as “The Nadar Bank Ltd”.
A group of dedicated men with shrewd acumen and sound integrity had been constituted as Board of Directors and they elected Shri M.V. Shanmugavel Nadar as Chairman on Nov 04, 1921. The bank was opened by Shri T.V. Balagurusamy Nadar, the then President of the Nadar Mahajana Sangam and the bank threw open its door to the public on Nov 11, 1921 at 9am in Ana Mavanna Building at South Raja Street, Tuticorin.
Qualification:
A Graduate (Arts, Commerce & Science), other than Engineering category, with minimum of 55% marks or a Post Graduate, from a recognized University in regular college course with knowledge in Computer Operations.

An Engineering Graduate with 60% marks from a recognized University in regular college course with knowledge in Computer Operations.

1. Students who are awaiting final semester result may also apply subject to the conditions mentioned in this page.
2. Applicant should essentially know to Speak, Read and Write in Tamil language fluently.
3. Graduation from Open University and Correspondence courses are not eligible.
Age: Maximum: For Graduates: 24 years and for Post Graduates 26 years as on Mar 31, 2013.
Relaxation for MBC / BC will be 2 years. Relaxation for SC / ST / Physically Handicapped will be 5 years.

For General: Date of Birth on or after - Apr. 01, 1989

Fee: Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs. 300.00 (Rs. 150.00 for SC / ST Candidates) by way of crossed demand draft drawn in favour of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd. Payable at Thoothukudi / Tuticorin or Tirunelveli.
Conditions for Candidates who are awaiting final semester result at the time of applying for the job now:
The final semester examination should have been appeared in the current year only.
If selected for interview, before appearing for the interview, they should have complied with all the eligible criteria fixed for the post.
Procedure for selection:
The candidates should appear for an ONLINE Objective Type Examination. The Online Examination is proposed to be held at Chennai, Madurai, Salem, Tirunelveli, Trichy and Thoothukudi centres and surrounding areas depending on the availability of accommodation in the venue. The date, Time and Venue of Online Test will be communicated to the eligible candidates individually by post. The Online Examination will be of objective type. After evaluation, on the basis of the Online Test, candidates will be short listed for a personal interview in the order of merit.
Pay: The total emoluments at present approximately is Rs. 15,620/- per month.
