Mohanlal and Amala Paul Are The Winners At SIIMA

The second South Indian International Movie Awards for this year has come to an end in a grand style. The Malayalam industry got their Best Actor and Actress for the year 2013. The function was held on 12th and 13th September of this month at Sharjah, UAE.

Some awards were announced on the first day, but the main categories of awards were announced later. Mohanlal and Amala Paul bagged the Best Actor and Actress Award.

The main set of awards and the winners are listed as follows:
Best Actor: Mohanlal (Spirit)
Best Actress: Amala Paul (Run Baby Run)
Best Film: Usthad Hotel (Listin Stephen, Magic Frames)
Best Director: Lal Jose (Ayaalum Nanum Thammil)
Best Actor (Critics): Fahad Fazil (Diamond Necklace)
Best Actress (Critics): Rima Kallingal (22 Female Kottayam)
Best Comedian: Suraj Venjaranmmoodu
Best Actor in a negative role: Prathap Pothen (22 Female Kottayam)
Best Actor (Supporting Role): Nandhu (Spirit)
Best Actress (Supporting Role): Shweta Menon (Ozhimuri)

The other awards which were announced earlier include all the technical awards, Best Singers, Rising Stars of South Indian Cinema (Male & Female), Pride of South Indian Cinema and many others. Mohanlal has once again proved himself as the Best Actor in the Malayalam industry by being the winner at SIIMA.

Amala Paul, who made her debut in the industry with the movie Run Baby Run, has also proved her calibre by winning the Best Actress Award at SIIMA. Hope this award will make the actress to set her foot in the industry more firmly. Oneindia congratulate all the SIIMA 2013 winners.
