Court Cancels Shruthi's Second Marriage

Kannada actress Shruthi's second marriage with journalist Chandrachuda Chakravarthy is hit by storm. Following the petition filed by Chandrachuda's wife Manjula, Bangalore family court has annulled the marriage. On June 6, the actress married Chandrachuda in Kollur temple, Udupi district. The trouble started, when Chandrachuda's wife Manjula, who approached family court and filed a petition seeking the court to declare the marriage null.

Reportedly, the court, which heard the trial today, September 20, has ordered that the marriage cannot be approved by the law as Chandrachuda is still not divorced from Manjula. Also he will not be having any right for the second marriage, without getting the divorce from the first marriage. In June, Manjula came in front of media and said that her husband has not sought the divorce from her.

However, Shruthi had expressed shock for the development and said that Chandrachuda has cheated her and she was unaware of her husband's previous marriage. Manjula had accused her husband for keeping her in dark about his second wedding, and has requested the court to pass a restraining order from living them (Shruthi-Chandrachauda) together as husband and wife.
