Is Aunt Jemima offensive?

For a school project I'm supposed to find out if people consider Aunt Jemima logo offensive. I would just survey the people at my school but there's only about 300 kids there and most of them wouldn't respond to it. If you guys could answer these to questions it would make my life much easier. So here it goes.

how is this offensive, i think of the syrup for pankcakes and waffles, nothing out of the ordinary
