In my opinion it can be maintained as long as the guy and girl are pure in hearts.there is a proverb that says"good friends can end up into lovers"i feel it is not true.

Friendship is possible...

"Good friends End up with Lovers"

I believe this saying is correct, why because true friendship happens only when they have identified that their character is some what similar (they are in same wave length) and they can share their problems each other etc. so that make them to love each other....

Definition of real Love : "Real love is a Collection of Positive experiences connected to a particular person"

You have mention "Pure heart" , actually I want to know who having this pure heart... We all are acting in front of everybody.... our original character is different....
