National film award declared: ‘Anthaheen’ best film

New Delhi: Bengali film ‘Anthaheen’, selected as the best film of 2008.

Bala, the director of the Tamil movie ‘Nan Kadavul’, adjudged the best director award.

Upendra Limani, the Marathi cine actor, got the best actor award and Priyanka Chopra bagged the best actress award, 2008.

Malayalam film ‘Bioscope’ got special jury recommendation.

‘Thirakkatha’, directed by Ranjith, selected as the best Malayalam movie.

‘Varanam Ayiram’, selected as the best Tamil movie of 2008.

‘O Lucky Lucky O’, adjudged the award for popular cinema.

Kankana Ravath and Arjun Rampal adjudged the award for best supporting actors.

Best singer- Hariharan. Female singer- Sreya Ghoshal, Editing- Sreekar Prasad, Make up-V. Krishna Murthy.
