China's Urban Forest

Urban Forest, located in Chongqing, China, is a commercial high-rise building design inspired by the mountainous landscape in the region. Beijing-based MAD Architects created the 70-story curvaceous, multi-layered design to combine dense urban living space with a natural flowing vertical greenscape.

Urban Forest is connected via a cylindrical structure in the centre, with each expansive floor layered off-centre and featuring a wrap around balcony. The vertical design offers stunning views and the infusion on nature while serving as an organic addition to the Chongqing cityscape.
