CM Felicitation event: Trisha, Shriya refuse to dance

Chennai would witness a grand event at the City’s Nehru Indoor Stadium today where Kalaignar, Chief Minister and a generous patron of the Kollywood film industry, would be felicitated for having initiated urgent steps to check video piracy and save the industry from extinction.

Actresses Nayantara and Reema Sen are among those who have agreed to dance during the cultural programme that has been arranged to be held on stage prior to the actual event. However, other leading ladies in Bhavana, Trisha, Priyamani and Shriya Saran had gently requested the organizers to ‘spare them’ and avoid their names on the list of dancers on that day.

Following the snubbing by these actresses, FEFSI has reportedly decided to impose ‘penalties’ on these actresses and no to cooperate with them.

This might affect the careers of these actresses, it is felt. Likewise, some young heroes who have refused to dance today evening are also under the scanner of FEFSI.
