‘Robot’ demolishes the Idiots

MUMBAI: More than two weeks have gone by and the ‘Robot’ fever has still not subsided in the country. The box office collections for the Rajnikanth – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer continue to increase while other Bollywood releases quietly sank.

Touted as the most expensive film ever made in India, ‘Robot’ has more than recovered the costs for its producer.

The media images of South Indians queuing in front of the cinema theaters at wee hours in the morning to collect their tickets for ‘Enthiran’ (the Tamil version of ‘Robot’) was in itself proof of the fact that Rajnikanth’s films are always blockbuster hits. But little did anyone expect that the 60-year-old man would also sweep away the moolahs from the pockets of Indians around the country!

‘Robot’ has now broken all previous records achieved by any Bollywood film in the past. Movie critics in Bollywood are surprised by the fact that Rajinikanth could endanger the position held by the Khans of Hindi cinema.
