This was the black day when the metro city of Mumbai was shaken by the serial bomb blasts which took many lives. This is also the title of the first directorial venture of scriptwriter Babu Janaardhanan. Based on the lives of a few who were never directly associated with the bomb blasts, the movie will be an eagerly awaited project of the year.

Megastar Mammootty who had been a constant inspiration to fresh directors, will don the lead character named Sanathanan Bhatt in the movie. To be shot at Coimbatore, Mumbai and various part of Kerala, the shoot for the movie will kick off at Rajasthan by the second week of February. Red Rose creations will produce ‘1993 Bombay, March 12’.
