Another new film on Shrividhya

KOCHI: Director Ranjith’s 2008 film ‘Thirakkatha’ was based on the life of the South Indian actress Shrividhya. Now, yet another film, ‘Naayika’ is getting ready on the same theme.

‘Naayika’ is being directed by Jayaraj. Thomas Benjamin is the producer. Madhu and Sharadha are going to play the lead roles.

Deedi Damodaran, who had previously written the script of ‘Gulmohar’, is writing the script of ‘Naayika’. The film narrates the saga of a heroine of yesteryear, who fades away at the peak of her career. Jayaram, his wife Sabitha Jayaraj and Jagathy will star in important roles in the film.
