Mappillai’ to complete with ‘Vaanam’

Dhanush and Simbu who were long time foes but recently turned friends will be testing their individual strength at the box office on April 8 when their films ‘Mappillai’ and ‘Vaanam’ hit the theatres same day. ‘Mappillai’ is a Sun Pictures promoted film and ‘Vaanam’ producer VTV Ganesh is also gearing to match the power of the biggie. Interestingly both the films are remakes and there is sure to be some genuine comparisons made after the release. ‘Mappillai’ is the remake of a blockbuster of Rajini by the same name. ‘Vaanam’ is the remake of the blockbuster Telugu film ‘Vedam’.
