Katrina Kaif's Boom kissing scene to be released

Katrina Kaif debuted in Bollywood in 2003 with Boom. The fashion-gangster movie, which was mentioned as a soft porn flick in disguise by critics, bombed at the box office. Boom had an excess of steamy scenes and some were even edited out as it failed to adhere to the accepted norms in glamour scenes.

Madhu Sapre, Padma Lakshmi and Katrina Kaif appeared as models in the movie along with Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shroff and Gulshan Grover starring as gangsters. One scene had Gulshan Grover and Katrina passionately kissing for minutes, but the scene was removed after pressure from Salman Khan, who was then close to the actress. The original DVD release too omitted the scene due to Salman's insistence.

Now the producers have announced that they would re-release the uncut DVD of Boom, which would also include the Kaif-Grover kissing scene. With Katrina at the top of Bollywood, the DVD is sure to sell like hot cakes. Now with Salman parting ways with the actress and the earlier contract signed with Boom producers in place, Katrina has no grounds to make a legal move.
