For some reason Kodak has not been able to withstand the heavy competition from other camera manufacturers especially when things started to change from more traditional film cameras to digital ones, this one of the main reasons why Kodak has stopped manufacturing SLR range cameras. Focusing more on compact digital ones, it has made sure to keep its price more affordable to attract the masses especially in a country like India, where people looking for cheaper alternatives is quite high most of the times.

Kodak C195 is by no means a fancy looking camera, in fact it looks quite bulky and more out dated in its looks, but its a necessary compromises you need to make in order to purchase a low price camera such as this one. Features a 5X optical zoom lens with 14MP CCD sensors.

Other controls on the camera is quite what you can see on easyshare series models, like share button, navigation controls, dedicated buttons for flash, delete etc, one of the things which we like about this one is the easy to use interface, preloaded PC sync software inside the camera so you need not worry about installing any special softwares to sync this device your computer which makes sharing your photos and videos through the camera to social sites and email quite easy.

Features a 3 inch LCD display which makes for previewing pictures, videos and live view finder, there is no dedicated optical view finder on this one so the 3 inch display makes up for it. Like mentioned before its a 14MP camera with CCD sensor which should take good quality pictures under sufficient lighting conditions at low ISO range, its not so efficient with taking pictures under low light conditions.

Some of the additional features of this camera includes blur reduction technology which takes care of accidental shakes while taking quick pictures or while you are in motion, we are not sure how good this feature works in normal usage, but kodak claims it to work well, smart auto mode which takes care of camera settings depending up on the environment you are in to give you better quality pictures, basic picture editing from the camera can reduce the job of doing basic editing works on the pictures from your PC, this can be a quite useful feature at times.

It can also record videos at standard definition, connectivity includes miniUSB and inbuilt memory can be expanded using SD or SDHC memory card, supplied with li-ion rechargeable battery that comes with the purchase, we have no information about the number of shots the supplied battery will support while its fully charged. Over all this can be a great camera if you are looking for one around 5k price range and have budget constraints.
